Goal

This project is raising fund to install essential shade netting over a playground and library courtyard at Tiffany's Community Centre in Paarl-East Western Cape to protect ECD children from extreme heat and sun exposure.

MCM Tiffany's Community Centre, situated in the middle of the very poor community of Pearl East, is a haven for the children who live in here; a safe place where they can learn and play when their parents are at work. These children don't have books at home, and no playground other than the streets where unemployed youths loiter.

At the Tiffany's Centre they get to learn, play and receive nutritional daily meals - often the only meal for the day. With Breadline Africa and Kids Around the World as partners MCM is creating a haven for these little ones. The play park where our children play under supervision of their teachers, and the now library, are set in a grim looking courtyard surrounded by high walls, barbed wire and shacks on the other side of the wall.
